03 — In her words

For most of my career, I have worked in environments where leadership, strategy, change, and people development intersect. But Lion’s Gem was born from a more personal question.

I founded Lion’s Gem in 2017 after a season of setting personal goals and reflecting on the experiences that shape us. It was the idea that through storytelling and sharing our testimonies, we can make a lasting impact. The name came from a belief that still anchors everything today: we are all gems in the eyes of God, our one true King. We are made in His image. We just need some polish.

Since then, life has given me plenty of opportunities to understand what polishing really means. I have spent nearly two decades building a corporate career and learning that leadership is less about title than character, influence, and how we develop others. I became a mother and discovered a deeper definition of legacy. I transformed my health and learned the power of discipline, consistency, and grace. I have walked through seasons of loss, uncertainty, rebuilding, and renewed faith that taught me the difference between controlling an outcome and trusting God through the process.

Lion’s Gem grew with me. What began as inspiration and storytelling evolved into Bible reflections, personal growth journeys, community spotlights, local experiences, service, and leadership lessons. The more the work grew, the clearer the mission became: Lion’s Gem is not here to tell people they are incomplete. It is here to remind them that their value already exists—and to give them practical ways to grow, lead, serve, and multiply what they have been given.
